Innovative pain relief - stimulation current instead of medicamentation

Obi TENS has two modes:

1. Burst mode: low frequency, high intensity, slow pain relief (within ca. 30 minutes), prolonged effects, is good for Acupuncture like Tens and for maximum effect, should be applied at the early stages of labour.

2. Boost Modus: high frequency, low intensity, fast pain relief, short effects- a constant supply applying the Gate Control Theory and should be used to overcome contraction pain

Obi TENS Use:

For optimum use during labour, it is recommended that patients familiarise themselves with the unit beforehand. Using the Burst mode for an extended period at the early stages of labour is recommended for optimum benefit.

Post Natal Usage
The Obi Tens unit can be used as a standard TENS machine for a range of conditions including after pains and post operative pains. It can also may be very useful for use by people shortly after a caesarean section.
When in use on different areas the electrode placements should be considered as well as alternate shape and sized electrodes. (below are 50 x 50mm square electrodes and 32mm round electrodes)
The Boost mode could be used to treat cases of acute pain whilst the Burst mode could be used to treat cases of Chronic pain.
